Define the product brief
Set out the application, required functions, target market, commercial channel and intended customer. If your program includes a reference sample or vehicle photos, attach them early. This gives design and production teams a shared starting point.
Separate product decisions from packaging decisions
Housing color, lens appearance, wiring and branding are product decisions. Color boxes, labels, manuals, cartons and barcode placement are packaging decisions. Reviewing them separately keeps artwork changes from delaying product confirmation.
Use sample approval as a control point
A sample is where buyers can check visible finish, functions, accessories and packaging direction. Keep approved photos, the product specification and the approved artwork version together. These references are useful again during factory testing and shipment inspection.
Plan shipment details before production ends
Confirm the consignee, shipping terms, carton marks, documents and any market-specific labeling before goods are packed. This gives the supplier time to prepare the export packing and documentation required for the agreed order.
